Trattoria Del Sole

It was 1974 when Albina Guizzetti decided to start a trattoria in Sensole 17 on Monte Isola. In 1985, she passed the baton to her son Stefano Dalmeri, the current owner. Located in an olive grove on the lake shore, over time it has grown from a few tables for tourists to accommodate many more diners thanks to the expansion of the upstairs dining room and the fantastic outdoor terrace, which has been enclosed with transparent curtains that still allow a view of the lake and olive grove. The dishes and products served are closely linked to the local area and tradition. Each dish combines historical soul with a touch of modernity, the authenticity of raw ingredients with fresh local produce, vegetables from the garden, fish caught by local fishermen and many succulent homemade preparations. In 1975, the dish “Baked whitefish rolls with polenta” won first prize in the “Sebino d’Oro” competition as the most original and innovative dish presented.
