The flavors of the island - Monte Isola’s salami

Macelleria Mazzucchelli Mazia

Macelleria Mazzucchelli was founded in 1967, but its history dates back to the previous decade, with a shop operating since the 1950s in the centre of Siviano, in the municipality of Monte Isola, in the province of Brescia. Initially, it was a small shop selling various foodstuffs. In 1967, management of the business passed to Ernesto Mazzucchelli, who specialised in the processing and sale of beef, lamb, horse meat and pork, thus officially founding the butcher’s shop. In 2012, management passed to the second generation, namely the founder’s daughter, Marzia Mazzucchelli. The shop is located on the ground floor of a building in the centre of Siviano in Monte Isola. Inside, there is a large refrigerated counter displaying the full range of meats, local cured meats and cheeses. At the back of the shop, in a smaller room, there is a cold room for storing food and various machines needed for processing and packaging the various products on sale.

This shop has been recognized as a Historical Business by Regione Lombardia
