Homo viator, restless pilgrim, Girolamo Romanino is part of those who \u201ccarry their suffering within themselves like a talisman\u201d (cit. Eugenio Montale).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">Girolamo di Romano di Luchino \u2013 also known as Romanino \u2013 was born in Brescia, presumably between 1484 and 1487. The first twenty years of his life are shrouded in mystery: nothing is known about his social origins or from who he learned the art from. However, it is assumed that he was the son of an artist, since his brothers and cousins were also painters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>La Via del Romanino \u2013 cultural and artistic route<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\" class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traduzione\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">The Via del Romanino is a cultural and artistic itinerary that aims at promoting the works that Girolamo Romanino left in the Brescia and Bergamo areas. The project, while not claiming to be all-encompassing of what was the pictorial initiative of the author in this region, constitutes a synthesis, under the banner of artistic and landscape richness and environmental sustainability. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Traduzione\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">The route, which develops along a south-north (from Brescia to Bienno) and east-west (Rodengo Saiano- Malpaga Castle) axis, intersects some of the most evocative places that our territory can offer: the elegance of the two capital cities, Franciacorta, Lake Iseo, the hills and mountains of the pre-Alpine arc. The treasures left by Girolamo Romanino are set in this very rich landscape context.
