The Soardi family has been involved in freshwater fishing for 4 generations. The focus of the activity takes place in Monte Isola where the fish processing laboratory is located and in Lake Iseo, companion of our fishing trips. Currently Nando Soardi, born in 1948, is directly involved in fishing, assisted by his son Andrea, who also directly follows the sales phases of the fish through the local markets on the square and through direct sales to various restaurants in the area. 3 years ago the Soardi family personally committed to making the dried sardine of Lake Iseo one of the slow food presidia. In fact, in our fishmonger business we treat all fresh lake fish that we clean and fillet according to the needs of individual buyers and all dried fish including sardines. For 2 years we have also been making lake fish bottarga, directly providing the eggs, salting and subsequently drying. In Montisola we are also owners of the ‘Locanda al Lago’ restaurant, where you can taste all the delicacies that the lake offers us every day.
